a whole month? really?

hmm, where does the time go? it is summertime. the girls are always wanting to go swimming. It is where I've spent most of my summer, thus far. I don't mind actually. Swimming is actually good exersise! ha! Yes, I am still trying to keep up with my exersizing. One more thing that has been consuming my time :) And...drum roll please.... I have lost 10 pounds! Another 10 and I will have meet my goal! I am so excited!!(this is kira, who is 3. she loves to swim and put on her *soup, soup* <3) another reason for blog withdrawal? this girl. she practically lives with us :) that's Jakan. the boys youngest sister. in case you wonder? jesse is 25. Jakan is 9. He is the oldest, she is the youngest. And there are 3 more boys inbetween them, ages 10, 14, and 16. She is, the only girl. No worries. She is very welcome to come and play and swim anytime. Which leaves plenty of opportunity for silliness... and sweetness... Not much else has happened. Just living summer life out I guess. Swimming, running (who knew it was so much work! i do enjoy it though), bike riding, walking, lots of working, and...i've begun to enjoy reading again. lol, i want to finish what i'm reading! right now i'm reading 'The Pillars of the Earth' recommended by my mom and sister. another reason for getting sidetracked with the blog. and sadly, scrapbooking too. hopefully the dry spell is over! ha! Oh! and speaking of this lovely, we tried on wedding dresses about 2 weeks ago. sooo much fun! I miss hanging out with her so much! we've talking on and off lately and she really gets my blood going! in a good way of course. talking about the wedding and all the fun stuff, photo shoots, scrapping, cooking and healthy eating. *sigh* so inspiring. <3 ok, thats it for today. Not much to report

I'm not very exciting. ha! I'm sure I've said that before!

lately I just haven't been into an internet/crafty mood. *gasp!* I don't know what it is...I have been in my health kick kind of mood, that is what I am guessing is the problem. Well not really a problem, but you know... In the last two and a half weeks i haven't drank but one soda. That was at my parents house. They were having a bbq and I couldn't find the bottled water. I don't even think I finished the can. After that, I knew it wouldn't be hard to not drink it anymore. I think about Dr Pepper alot! :( But I know it will taste too sugary after drinking water all the time. I've lost five pounds so far. Hooray me! 15 more to go.

I am very excited today! My package came fromForever21. I ordered a very lovely cocktail dress for my friend Bradley's wedding. It's plain black but I will be able to wear over again with new accessories and will always look awesome! ha!f

I also found a lovely new kit club. They are called the PaperMinxes. Definately go and check that out. They just debuted their very first kit today! (and I would totally buy one if I weren't so freaking broke!) But yes, very lovely papers, and cute little extras! oh my.

One last thing. We'll see how I do. Over at the Happy Cactus blog, Ari tagged me awhile ago. I'm just getting to it. 6 quirks about myself. hmmm.

1. I always have a necklace on. I feel naked without one.
2. i love to drive. anytime, anywhere. i just wish it weren't always to work.
3. i have ocd and i'm ok with it. i don't mind cleaning and organizing :)
4. i love*love*looove! to bake! cheesecake is my fave.
5. i don't want to use my stamps b.c. i don't want them dirty.
6. i'm terrified of the dark

hooray!

ok, not much to say. i just wanted to write down, that i did it!

i went a whole day with out soda (yesterday, june11). so hopefully the days after yesterday go much easier! now if i can stop dreaming of Dr. Pepper... i did pilates 2 times this week so far! thats exciting for me. i usually give up now, ha! but i need to be more determined. my darling sister is getting married next fall. (Sept.) Which is plenty far away of course, but that gives me plenty of time to (hopefully) succeed. i have a goal of 20 pounds to lose. and i did cut out my soda. i hope that helps! :) Not much else here. it keeps raining. there has been lots of flooding and tornados. my weatherbug is always going crazy with new alerts! todays playlist: (created by itunes, party shuffle)

i'm not good at blogging :(

it's true *sigh* every time i sit down to blog,

i think, eh. i can't remember what i was going to say. or, hmm thats not too interesting. hehe. i've never been good at keeping a journal either. but i really want to remember random moments of what i was thinking at any given time.any given time. here i am trying to get out there what i've been up to. say a little more about myself: i had someone tell me that all my blog really was was photos and scrapboking. and not much about myself (or my fam) ok, about me? i'm begining to realize that i may be a hypochondriac of sorts. i am always thinking i should see a dr for some reason. i am nerd, i know. but i feel better after someone explains whats wrong, so i don't sit and analyze things into a panic attack. (yeah, i constantly have them) (gosh you'd think i was a mess :) ) anywayyyy! the point of my story is that i stopped at the clinic on my way to work yesterday. my eye was super red, and i had yucky cold like symptoms. i wanted to make sure i didn't have pink eye. i would hate to take that to the nursing home with me. Yuck! needless to say, i was sent home with a drs note and pink eye. the goop i have to put in my eyes is gross. nice, i know. kaci, she's 7. had her field trip to the Madison Zoo last Thursday. My mom and I and Kira (she's 3) followed the bus up. It was alot of fun. Kira was so excited to see the bears and penguins! and Kaci had a blast running around with her girlfriends. and wouldn't you know it that i forgot my camera and mom remembered hers? that never happens! ha. i'll have to get her photos and show them off :) the trip to the zoo made me think of my top ten lists. it's been a few months... 1. watching the giraffes run! wow! the mom and babe were chasing each other. sooo adorable. 2. just relaxing on the couch while the girls watch tv. 3. The anticipation of waiting for LOST. "Jesus Christ is not a weapon" 4. summer time excitement that comes with the end of school! 5. summer means the swimming pool! 6. Love, Elsie papers. How yummy. 7. Red Velvet and the Dozens kit clubs. 8.making mini albums: you can see more here. 9. listening to itunes. my faves: NIN and Arcade Fire. its chilly out for may

they say its may. that means spring time.

brrr. its been a pretty chilly spring so far. oh well. go ahead. make some yummy trail mix :) it will cheer you up.or make cupcakes. (the ones i made for karate)the karate competition was good. Kaci got a first place trophy for her forms. 2nd for sparring and 3rd in board breaking. oh yeah she's good. she beat 2 boys! its so good to see her do things she loves. <3 hooray, kira is using the potty at least once a day. thats great! i'm so excited for her. she's lovely too. she likes to hang out in my scrap room with me and look the window at everything that goes on. and checking out the lilacs is always fun too! ooh! and for the karate competition, i actually made myself look nice! ha! so i did a few self-portraits. it was fun, i hadn't done any in quite awhile. the headband. it's my new fave, its just a scrap of fabric that fit perfect! ok, off to bed, off to bed. 3:30AM comes way too soon. xoxo danielle

scrapbooking makes me happy!

i've gotten quite a few LO's done lately. it feels good. i feel so fulfilled. <3 pretty paper. lovely embellies. endless possibility. its huge! it can be anything you want it to, there are no boundries! wow... today I: planted daisy and colored sunflower seeds into peat pots. (wish them luck!) i made cupcakes for Kaci's karate tournament tomorrow. (frosting coming soon) i am in the process of scrapping my 2nd LO. played with Kira outside. took Kaci to school.(she's wanted to stay w. Grandma tonight, so we'll spend more time together tomorrow) and now it's time to make tacos. yummy! happy TGIF! xoxo

lol, got me some goodies lately! i have been enjoying a good read: so much inspo here! very awesome! go, get one. seriously! I've flipped thru the cute little cards like, countless times. my head is so full of great ideas. i'm worried i won't be able to keep up! yikes :) hmm, and this:i won a random drawing from this lovely scrapper. i got some rad claire goodies! so exciting, bc i had gotten an order with claire papers, but realized i didn't buy enough embellies. so...yee-ah! her LOs are quite beautiful. i like. and RVKC had a clearence sale. Sale, cannot stay away from sales. looks like theres a few things left...here is what i picked out. [i love watching for the mailman][i'm not lame, promise! :)] cannot wait to try out the super cute embroidery iron-ons! fun!fun! now...you go have fun! you deserve it! what better time than now to have some scrappy fun!? ok, if work stands in your way? whip out that little notebook, and write down all your super duper ideas before you forget! don't forget to smile!! :) ps LOST is on tonight, don't forget.

{as i stated earlier} she loves to run around in my shoes! any pair she can find. these are just too cute. she runs around the house and yells *look at me! look at me mommy!* so much fun! she finally used the potty! that is also very exciting. early mothers day present i like to think of it as. she did it the night before mothers day <3this is my mothers day gift from the *boy* i love it! and yummy cupcakes to celebrate the day!

some scrapbooking going on lately! i'm not exactly sure how

i feel about them yet though. not that i don't like them. no no. don't get me wrong. it's hard to explain. i like them, i love the colors, the stories i hear in my heart. BUT, (lol) i just am not sure they are my 'style' if i even have a style. maybe I'm evolving? or not. its different everyday... ha! i must sound like some sort of crazy! anyhoo...here is the eye*candy... all the LOs are 12x12s. I finally figured out how to use my 81/2 x 11 sized printed to scan and piece LOs. I'm so slow and can't believe i hadn't figured it out earlier :) I don't have any fancy photo programs or anything and really didn't think it could do many cool things! i feel so crazy happy today, so please excuse me if none of my blog makes sense or seems silly. i don't know why, everything seems to be fitting together a little better lately i guess.
